その音の響きが柔らかな「能登 のと」は、

海や空、風や土がそれぞれ固有の時間を持っているようで、

穏やかな時間が流れていく。

 

海に突き出た「のと」は山海の幸が豊かだ。

昔の人はその恵みに感謝し、敬意を込めて「御先」と呼んだのが今の「岬」の語源らしい。

古いアイヌ語では「岬」を「ノトゥ」といい、

それは「楽園」という意味も合わせ持つそうだ。

 

「のと」の風土と自然に育まれ、お菓子を作り続けているのが

私たち〝いわずみ〟です。

Gently ripples with a calm rhythm.

 

Noto jutting out into the ocean

With the fortune from the mountains and seas.

It is said that in old Ainu tongue,

“Notu” means cape and also paradise…
